The second weekend each December (the 12th-13th this year), we team up with the North Ridge Civic Association and Beverley Hills United Methodist Church at 3512 Old Dominion Blvd. for their Annual Community Tree Sale. It's a wonderful, friendly community tradition, to which anyone is welcome. The local Boy Scout Troop pitches in (after having camped out among the trees earlier in the fall) with unloading and un-baling the hundreds of trees to select from on Saturday from 7AM to 5PM and Sunday from 9AM to 4PM.

From Almost Heaven—West Virginia!

The beautiful trees you'll find on our lots are mostly grown in beautiful, Almost Heaven, West Virginiaactually in Hampshire County, WV, the first county over the border west of Winchester, VA, out US Rt. 50. Many have grown from seedlings on the Gallery's family tree farm in Augusta, WV, while others come from the farms of trusted local growers. You can even come up and visit where the trees start out and stay in our relaxing vacation rental house, Just Far Enough Getaway.

Additional trees come from a top grower at higher elevations in Virginia and North Carolina, where fraser firs are most commonly found. The trees for the Christmas feature in Martha Stewart Living December 2008 issue came from that grower and she is certainly known for being a selective customer.

In 2008 a crew from Ukranian Television came out Almost Heavenly Trees' farm to film the tree operation from shearing and cutting, to baling, loading, and then even decorating our own family tree. Take a look. View

Our children started helping with the trees as toddlers. Now two of them are Naval Officers and two are in college. When they're able to work it into their busy schedules, they all try to return and help out the "old folks" and visit with our long-time customers at the tree sales lots. Now we even have the children of long-time customers working to help our current customers.
