As of Dec. 19 we're closed for 2011, but look forward to serving you next year at the tree lot, and in the meantime would love to host you on the tree farm at Just Far Enough Getaway-- check it out for a relaxing escape. (A gift certificate makes a nice present for the loved one who has everything...:)
The North Ridge Community Tree Sale was a success with a terrific team of volunteeers from the Citizens Association, Beverley Hills United Methodist Church and the Beverley Hills Church Preschool. Thanks for helping support these good organizations!

perfect tree among our large selection.
You can also get white pine garland (roping) in 25-foot lengths ($16 or $2 per yard for shorter lengths), 12-inch mixed-green wreaths (approx. 20" wide) $15 and Superior Tree Stand**(designed by tree growers—with a lifetime guarantee for $25, very stable, accommodates all kinds of trunks and holds lots of water—we call them "marriage savers" because they are so-o-o much easier to use than those awful screw-type stands. **Unfortunately we have sold out of tree stands and are unable to obtain more for this 2011 season, so if you need a stand, you'll have to get one elsewhere.

Each December (this year the first two weekends, Dec. 3-4 and 10-11, 2012), we team up with the North Ridge Civic Association and Beverley Hills United Methodist Church at 3512 Old Dominion Blvd. for their Annual Community Tree Sale, which benefits both organizations. It's a wonderful, friendly community tradition, to which anyone is welcome. The local Boy Scout Troop 129 pitches in (after having camped out among the trees earlier in the fall) with unloading and un-baling the hundreds of trees to select from on Saturday from 7AM to 5PM and Sunday from 9AM to 4PM.

Looking for a big tree? We can help. At the North Ridge Tree sale you'll find lots of trees to choose from and friendly, knowledgeable assistance,in picking the right tree for you

We have customers of all ages and have established family traditions from baby's first Christmas to teens now working the tree lot where Mom and Dad brought them as infants. You can have a fresh slice taken off and your tree loaded and tied down for transport..
We want to make sure you'll have a good experience with this important part of your family holiday. Live trees are a safer choice for your family according to HealthyChild.org They are also more environmentally friendly — remember, Christmas trees are planted and grown as a crop, so they get re-planted and help clean the air. After the holiday they get mulched (Alexandria City tree recycling program) and return to the environment in a natural way. Made from petroleum-based chemicals (per Science20.com) artifical trees are also transported all the way from the other side of the world.
From Almost Heaven—West Virginia!
The beautiful trees you'll find on our lots are mostly grown in beautiful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia—actually in Hampshire County, WV, the first county over the border west of Winchester, VA, out US Rt. 50. Many have grown from seedlings on the Gallery's family tree farm, Almost Heavenly Trees, in Augusta, WV, while others come from the farms of trusted local growers. You can even come up and visit where the trees start out and stay in our relaxing vacation rental house, Just Far Enough Getaway.
Additional trees come from a top grower at higher elevations in Virginia and North Carolina, where fraser firs are most commonly found. The trees for the Christmas feature in Martha Stewart Living December 2008 issue came from that grower and she is certainly known for being a selective customer.
In 2008 a crew from Ukranian Television came out Almost Heavenly Trees' farm to film the tree operation from shearing and cutting, to baling, loading, and then even decorating our own family tree. Take a look. View
Our children started helping with the trees as toddlers. Now two of them are Naval Officers, the other two have graduated from WVU and Shepherd Universities respectively and have returned home! When they're able to work it into their busy schedules, they all try to return and help out the "old folks" and visit with our long-time customers at the tree sales lots. Now we even have children of long-time customers working to help our current customers.
