Grandparents from upstate New York met their daughter and son-in-law
and 3-year-old granddaughter from the Maryland suburbs of DC for a
fun birthday celebration and spent some quality time exploring the
wonders of nature. By way of thanks they presented us with a lovely
wreath created from their discoveries.
A mother and her mom spent two weeks together while her children
attended a nearby summer camp. It was a toss-up as to who had more
funShe had recently taken a course in entymology and had a blast
collecting and identifying moth specimens, and her mom delighted in
relaxing and reading.
A lady from Alaska and her 90-year-old mother from Arizona met
up here with a niece from North Carolina for a fun reunion.
Seven Army National Guardsmen shared Just Far Enough while re-stocking
their equipment between assignments in Afghanistan and Iraq.
A family of six from Montana visited for a week at Christmas
(and enjoyed a beautiful fresh Christmas tree cut right here on the
property) to be near relatives in the area who didn't have room to
host them all.
A couple from Pennsylvania met up with their children and grandchildren
from Tennessee and Maryland for a long weekend.
Four teachers from Charleston, WV, relaxed here between training
seminar sessions at the nearby WV Schools for the Deaf & Blind.
Musicians from Scotland and Ireland unwound for a week between
gigs in the region.
A writer from California stayed here while researching Civil
War history in the area for a book he was working on.
Two families from California stayed while attending their grandparents'
60th anniversary/family reunion with relatives from the Phillippines!
